Thank you for visiting the Natasha Heights Neighborhood website. The subdivision is located in Livingston, Polk County, Texas, aside Lake Livingston; at
about 50 minutes North from Houston, on the US-59 highway.
We are neighbors and friends who happily live in this subdivision. It is a very quiet neighborhood with water, electricity, cable TV, telephone and Internet available at the front of all lots. For sewage, every neighbor can build a septic system. In this subdivision there are no restrictions, no homeowners' association, no monthly dues, no time to build and you can practically put or build anything in your lot, like RV, mobile home, trailer, stick house, log cabin, brick or block house, decks and dens, etc. The subdivision is only 5 minutes from Lake Livingston - a beatiful and the second largest lake in Texas, called "The Wonderlake" - and from Tigerville Park; which has a free boat ramp, fishing pier and picnic tables with BBQ pits to just bring the charcoal briquets. We have very good and helpful neighbors, like mechanics, computer specialist, dirt haulers and landscapers, carpenters, electricians, plumbers and a Classic Cars restorer. Most of them are retired, but they will help you with anything you need. The roads of the subdivision are packed dirt and gravel and we are only 2 blocks from Sundance Trail; which is a paved road and connects with other paved roads to go to the City or anywhere. The roads are maintained by ourselves through small voluntary contributions, using the tractors and dump trucks owned by some of the neighbors and we don't want to have any Property Owners Association. We are mature and responsible people, interested in maintaining the quality of life in our neighborhood. There are many parks and sites in this area, that are great for fishing, boating, camping and have a good time. All the basic supplies can be found in the city of Livingston, which is only 10 minutes away and has restaurants, specialties, general and hardware stores, good elementary, intermediate and high schools and, according to the Polk County College Center: "Angelina College will operate and manage the college center and offer a full two year college curriculum and will work with other universities including Sam Houston State University and Stephen F. Austin University to offer some four year degree courses". In Livingston and surrounding cities, there are also great medical and hospital services and facilities. The cities of Lufkin to the North and Huntsville to the West are only 45 minutes away, where we can find more restaurants, stores, services and facilities and should you want the sophistication of the big city, you are only 50 minutes away from Deerbrook Mall, which is one of the largest malls in Houston, with many more stores and shopping centers around it; another 10 minutes from there and you are at the Bush International Airport-Houston, where you can leave your car at any of the parking services around the airport - with prices starting at about $4.00 per day - while you travel by plane. The beaches of Galveston, in the Gulf of Mexico, are only about one hour and 45 minutes away. There is a general public transportation system provided by The District, that serves 16 counties in Central and East Texas; including a shared ride curb to curb service in Polk County. In other words, as we say here, you can have the best of both worlds living in this area. Some of us moved to this subdivision after living for many years in big cities like Beaumont and Houston, in Texas; Miami, in Florida, and other cities. We don't miss the big cities at all. Here we have everything we need for a quiet and happy living. The people everywhere in this area are kind and courteous, must of them mature and retired people, keeping the old values alive. The city of Livingston is a clean and well ordered place, with no garbage in the streets, no graffity in the walls and no traffic jams; all of which add quality to living here. The Polk County and Lake Livingston area is visited by people from the whole country, looking for relax and recreation and is now a well known place for persons looking for a permanent home in an scenic area, for weekend and holiday vacations, or for retirement. We would like to invite you to consider moving to live here, or have a lot for future use. We will appreciate having more good neighbors here in our subdivision, helping us to improve the neighborhood and share our way of living. We are not real estate people, just neighbors in this community, but have some lots available here and, should you feel interested, you can send us email at jlb10144@suddenlink.net or carbraca@yahoo.com and we will try to answer any question you could have.
